Cinnamon Leaf
A yellowy-brown oil, with a rich, warm, spicy and sweet oriental
aroma.
Cinnamon has long been traded as a valuable
spice. The name comes from the Malay word 'kayu manis' meaning
sweet wood. The Queen of Sheba gave cinnamon as a gift to King
Solomon.
Uses: Anorexia, chills, colds, poor circulation, colitis,
flu, lice, nervous exhaustion, stress related conditions, scanty
periods, rheumatism, scabies, tooth and gum care, warts, wasp
stings.
Methods: Vaporisation.
Cautions: Avoid if pregnant, suffering from high blood
pressure, are epileptic or suffer from sensitive skin. Not suitable
for young children. Always use cinnamon leaf oil, as the bark
oil can be toxic to the skin. May cause irritation to the mucous
membranes, so use in moderation and with care.
